Athleticism Training:
We follow a Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) approach, where each stage builds intentionally on the next with clear skill progressions and shared outcomes. Our goal is to develop a strong foundation for athletic excellence that can be applied across multiple sports and, ultimately, support lifelong physical and mental health.
We teach age-appropriate strength and movement skills with a focus on proper form, body awareness, balance, coordination, agility, footwork, and flexibility. These foundational skills help kids move better, build strength, and improve speed and power. We also emphasize grit, self-discipline, effort, and learning how to work through the mental demands of sport.

EVOLVE (K-6th): Our EVOLVE program was created in 2021 to bring structured fitness and movement training to kids in our community. We offer age-based sessions for K–2nd and 3–6th grade students.
EXCEL (7-12th): Middle and high school students can work 1:1 or in a small group with Jennie or another coach. We assess movement patterns, review goals, and provide a personalized plan to guide development. Students are then supported and monitored as they work toward their goals.

Meet the Instructors
Jennie Gunlogson

Dr. Jennie has a diverse background in human performance, including strength and power training, HIIT, mobility and flexibility work, yoga, and Pilates. Her approach integrates movement science, strength development, and long-term athletic performance.
She previously coached two Just for Kix dance programs with hundreds of dancers of all ages and traveled nationally teaching youth and high school dance camps. She has also worked with multiple high school dance teams to improve technical performance, strength, and overall athletic conditioning.
In addition, Jennie has experience and enjoys working with athletes across all sports—including dance, wrestling, swimming, running, tennis, baseball, Snocross, and more—to help them become well-rounded, resilient, and capable in their performance.
The development of the EVOLVE youth fitness program was a natural extension of this mission, created to build a strong movement foundation and bring structured training to as many young athletes as possible.
She enjoys leading the Cornerstone Training Lab, mentoring and developing instructors while also working with athletes and individuals of all ages and backgrounds to move better, get stronger, and discover what they are capable of.
Dan Gunlogson

Dan joined forces with his mom in 2021 to help launch the EVOLVE youth fitness program in Montevideo for both boys and girls. He has since returned during his college summers to lead youth EVOLVE & wrestling sessions here at the Training Lab.
A decorated wrestler, Dan finished his high school career with a 199–33 record, breaking a 32-year school record for career wins. He was a four-time state individual qualifier and a two-time state medalist, placing 3rd in both 2022 and 2024. He also helped lead Montevideo to back-to-back state team appearances in 2023 and 2024, with the team placing 5th in Class AA both years.
Dan graduated from Montevideo Senior High School in 2024 and is currently a member of the University of Chicago wrestling team, where he has earned DIII Scholar All-American recognition.
In addition to wrestling, Dan was part of the first Montevideo baseball team in 28 years to qualify for the state tournament, where he consistently made high-impact plays at second base. He also joined the cross country team his senior year, continuing to challenge himself across multiple sports.
Outside of competition, Dan enjoys staying active through disc golf, intramural softball, and flag football. His ability to balance academics, athletics, and recreation makes him a strong role model for the athletes he works with in all of the programs here at the Training Lab.
Ben Gunlogson

Ben joined the EVOLVE youth fitness and youth wrestling programs in 2023, following in his older brother’s footsteps and helping support both training environments.
An accomplished wrestler, Ben has compiled a 197–46 career record. He is a four-time state individual qualifier, placing 3rd in 2023 and 2026, and 4th in 2025. He was also part of Montevideo’s back-to-back state qualifying wrestling teams in 2023 and 2024, which placed 5th in Class AA both years.
In addition to wrestling, Ben has been a varsity baseball player since 9th grade. He contributed to Montevideo’s 2024 state tournament team as a starting center fielder and helped the 2025 team reach section runner-up. He looks forward to a deep section run for his final, senior season in 2026. Ben is known for his speed, effort, and consistent competitiveness, regardless of size or situation.
Ben brings a strong work ethic and competitive mindset to everything he does. He approaches training and competition with focus, resilience, and consistent effort, giving full commitment in every environment. Outside of athletics, he stays active and can often be found playing golf, disc golf, or pick-up sports in his free time.
We are excited to have Ben working with and supporting our athletes in the Training Lab!
Megan Macziewski

Megan is a 2025 graduate of Montevideo Senior High School. She has been dancing since the age of three and danced on the Gold Dusters Dance Team from 7th through 12th grade. She has also attended multiple dance camps throughout the state to continue developing her technical skills and performance.
In addition to her dance background, Megan has a natural ability to work with children. Her warm, patient, and encouraging approach has been well received in our summer programs.
Megan is the program director for the Montevideo Just for Kix program and will began teaching JFK classes in fall 2025. She also assists with some of our EVOLVE girls’ classes here at the Cornerstone Training Lab.
We are excited to have Megan working with young dancers and athletes at the studio and contributing to the development of the next generation!
