We also have options for booster clubs or adults to rent our fitness space. If you or a group of your fitness friends would like to use the space together, please contact us if this is something you are interested in!
Coming soon!
2025 summer sessions for the EVOLVE program, plus 1:1 options for 9-12th athletes, and off-season wrestling and dance sessions!
Types of Classes Offered:
Athleticism Training:
We follow the approach of Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD). Each stage has specific goals for skills taught, and each stage is connected to one another with a common plan & common outcome measures. Our goal is to “evolve” a solid foundation for athletic excellence, where these skills can then be combined with sport specific technique instruction to excel in many different arenas of athletics! The best part of all is that what we are teaching will serve our students well beyond just athletics. These skills are the foundation to lifelong healthful habits both physically and mentally.

We teach age-appropriate exercises & proper form to build strength, as well as incorporating exercises to improve body/spatial awareness, balance, hand-eye coordination, agility, footwork & flexibility. These skills help kids get stronger, jump higher and run faster! Last, but definitely not least, we focus on grit, self-discipline, effort, and learning how to work through the mental aspects of sports.
Youth: Our EVOLVE program was started in 2021 to bring fitness to the kids in our community. We offer several sessions each year for K-2nd & 3-6th aged kids. We have also previously offered EVOLVE 2.0 sessions for 7-8th graders and are looking at bringing those back for 2025.
High School: High school students can work with Jennie 1:1 or in a small group. Your movement patterns will be assessed and your goals reviewed. Jennie will give you a plan to work toward these goals & oversee the process. Please contact us if you would like to learn more.
We look forward to working with your kids!
Meet the Instructors
Jennie Gunlogson

Jennie has an extensive background in fitness and athletics, including strength & power training, HIIT training, flexibility & mobility work, yoga & pilates.
She previously coached two Just for Kix dance programs with hundreds of dancers of all ages, traveled with Just for Kix teaching youth & high school summer dance camps across the country, and has worked with several high school dance teams to refine both their technical skills & overall fitness.
Jennie has worked with many other different youth & high school athletic teams & individuals. She thoroughly enjoys using her expertise to work with ALL types of athletes, whether that be dancers, wrestlers, swimmers, runners, baseball players or any others! to help them learn how to become the most well-rounded athlete they can be. Starting the EVOLVE youth fitness program has been the next step to sharing the benefits & joys of fitness with as many kids as possible!
Dan Gunlogson

Dan joined forces with his mom in 2021 to start the EVOLVE youth fitness program with Montevideo boys and girls. He helped with this program until he moved away for college. He plans to be able to run some sessions during the summer when he is back.
Dan is a decorated wrestler, finishing his career with a record of 199-33 and breaking a 32 year old school record for career wins. Dan was a 4 time state individual qualifier and a 2 time state placer, achieving 3rd place in both 2022 and 2024. He also was a part of the back to back state qualifying team for wrestling in 2023 and 2024, placing 5th both years in class AA competition. Dan is currently a member of the University of Chicago wrestling team.
During his senior season, Dan was a part of the first state qualifying Montevideo baseball team in 28 years, consistently making highlight reel plays at second base. He has shown himself to be a gritty, hard-nosed player who thrives under pressure and will do anything it takes to make a play. He also joined the cross country team his senior year to challenge himself and try something new.
Dan loves being active in his free time as well. He often can be found at a disc golf course, or playing a pick-up game of just about anything. Finding the balance of work and play needed for high-achieving academics & athletics has made Dan an excellent role model for our young athletes.
Ben Gunlogson

Ben has followed in his older brother’s footsteps and started helping with EVOLVE and youth wrestling sessions in 2023. He plans to be able to help with summer sessions for the next couple of years.
Ben is also an accomplished wrestler, posting a 155-38 career record after his junior year. Ben has had three state appearances so far for individual competition, placing 3rd in 2023 and 4th in 2025. He also was a part of the back to back state qualifying team for wrestling in 2023 and 2024, placing 5th both years in class AA competition.
Ben has played varsity baseball since 9th grade, and was able to be a valuable part of the 2024 state entrant team for Montevideo as their speedy center fielder. Ben has consistently shown himself to not be phased by being the smallest guy on the team and plays with 110% effort every time he steps on the field.
Ben knows the work and dedication it takes to achieve high goals, and how to try to create some fun in the process. He loves being active in his free time and often can be found at a disc golf course, or playing a pick-up game of just about anything. We look forward to having Ben work with our youth athletes!
